In 2022, the total output value of China's photovoltaic industry will exceed 1.4 trillion yuan

In 2022, China's photovoltaic industry will continue to deepen supply-side structural reforms, accelerate industrial intelligent manufacturing and modernization, maintain a steady and positive development momentum throughout the year, and the industry's total output value will exceed 1.4 trillion yuan.

According to industry standard announcement enterprise information and industry association calculations, the output of various links in the photovoltaic industry chain will hit a record high in 2022, and the national output of polysilicon, silicon wafers, batteries, and modules will reach 827,000 tons, 357 gigawatts (GW), and 318,000 tons, respectively. GW and 288.7 GW, both increased by more than 55% year-on-year.

The level of technological innovation was accelerated. In 2022, the average conversion efficiency of P-type double-sided crystalline silicon solar cells of domestic mainstream enterprises will reach 23.2%; N-type silicon wafer + ultra-thin tunneling layer cells will begin to take shape in mass production, with an average conversion efficiency of 24.5%; The mass production of junction solar cells has been accelerated, the conversion efficiency has set a new record of 26.81%, and new breakthroughs have been made in the R&D and pilot tests of perovskite and laminated cells.

The demonstration of smart photovoltaic has achieved initial results. The integration and innovation of the new generation of information technology and the photovoltaic industry is accelerated, the list of the third batch of smart photovoltaic pilot demonstration projects is expanded in due course, and systematic solutions in the fields of industry, construction, transportation, agriculture, energy, etc. The level of intelligent scheduling and solar-storage integration has been effectively improved.

The market application continues to expand and expand. In 2022, the construction of large domestic photovoltaic bases and the application of distributed photovoltaics will steadily increase, and the newly installed domestic photovoltaic capacity will exceed 87 GW; the annual export of photovoltaic products will exceed US$51.2 billion, and the export of photovoltaic modules will exceed 153 GW, effectively supporting the domestic and foreign photovoltaic markets growth and global new energy demand.
